LINGL UK has successfully completed the commissioning of a new Kiln Transfer Car for Wienerberger Sandown, one of the largest brick producers in the United Kingdom. Lingl UK would like to thank

The new Kiln Exit Transfer Car, replaces the existing car which dates back to 1988, it was installed and commissioned in November 2014, it is additional to the kiln entrance transfer car delivered in 2013 LINGL UK again proved to be a capable partner for UK brick industry.
The new transfer car was designed to suit existing factory conditions to facilitate installation and commissioning over a 3 day period, also incorporating additional features consisting of kiln car de-latch stations & kiln car non return stations for extra safety, robust construction to allow fork trucks to cross over the transfer car.
The control system design complies with current EN standards. The control provides direct access to the machine functions via an operator touch screen panel and standard controls, using the well-established and user-friendly LINGL machine control system MBV on the basis of Siemens Simatic S7 hardware (alternative control systems are also available).
LINGL UK and the SANDOWN team worked together extensively considering every detail of the design and implementation to ensure this important project for Lingl UK and SANDOWN was a real success.
