On 26th June 2013, five days earlier than scheduled, the first kiln car with fired brick exited the tunnel kiln in the newly built Chesterton factory by Newcastle-under-Lyme in the county of Staffordshire.  The factory, ordered in November 2011, will provide the whole Midlands region in England with 80 million units of extruded facing bricks annually.  The new brickwork complex was built in the area of the original plant from the 1970s and is equipped with the latest energy efficient drying and firing technology.  Lingl congratulates and thanks Ibstock Brick for the excellent and trusting cooperation.
